However, generally what trekking and hiking offers are the speculative views of the mountain ranges, rhythmic steps of your on-foot travel offers the ample opportunities to relish with nature. Walking beneath the shadow of the great Himalayas is really enthralling and captivating as you switch up through grand canyons, gorgeous waterfall, rumbling river, rustling trees, whispering shrubs and whistling breeze. Above all the colorful communities of mountain inhabitants and their opened-arm welcoming nature, who loves the laughter and peace of others, add the right amount of salt to your delicious trip. Moreover, the perfect wilderness elates spiritual upliftment.

Gantabya, The Destination with the motto “Wheeled to Explore Ahead” are exploring the trekking and hiking route in Kathmandu and other parts of Nepal. . So, The team members of the Gantabya, The destination are sauntering towards Panchpokhari on this Janai purnima from 26th Saun, 2068 Thursday and returning back on Monday 30th Saun, 2068. This is a program for 5 days.

Why Panchpokari ?

Panchpokhari , trekking route is pronounced after five sacred ponds of great religious significance Panch Pokhari, a non-tourist trekking destination, stands as an attraction centre for marvelous panoramic Himalayan views, perfect nature with varied culture and mind-blowing lakes. Panch Pokhari trekking is a combination of rich culture heritage, unsurpassed beauty and biological diversity. Offering an excellent view of Himalayan ranges like Jugal Himal Range and Rolwalling Range Panch Pokhari is awaiting enthusiastic trekkers to witness a rare combination of rich cultural heritage, supreme beauty and biological diversity which are absolutely breathtaking. This place is a lifetime opportunity to feel what nature is all about. For exploring this Place decorated by the enriched flora, fauna and its rich cultural heritage we have concisely planned these short-trekking route which assists to present the genuine introduction of "Panchpokhari"

Panch Pokhari Trek is named after five holy ponds and Hindus religiously respect the place. This is just northeast of Kathmandu toward show wall of the beautiful Himalayan view and pristine nature with distinct vision is the most attraction of the trek.

During the five days trip, we observe the different ways of life, culture and come in contact with the people in the small village, passing through the dense forestations and meadows. The top of the Panch Pokhari (5 ponds) offers an excellent view of Jugal himal range, Rolwaling range, Gosainkunda etc. On the last day of the trip we take bus ride back to Kathmandu from Melamchi where we spend the final night of our trip.

Panchpokhari: 4010m, 9th highest wetland in the world, very fresh destination, naturally, culturally and traditionally enriched, where we can find lots of river, lakes, waterfalls, endangers wildlife's, with lots of beautiful flowers and mountains views.

Despite having tremendous potentialities for the development of tourism industry, this area is yet to bring into national and international market so that poor and backward people can get benefits, realizing the facts, we are organizing Panchpokhari Exploration trek in august 2011.

This trek offers pristine mountain views with unsurpassed natural beauty and biological diversity. The nearest destination from Kathmandu valley is enriched and adorned with combination of rich culture, traditions, and art. The typical and wonderful way of life of various ethnic people is another interesting thing to experience on this trekking destination. The grand vista of Rolwaling range, Langtang range, varieties of flowers, the medicinal perfume of herbal plants, wonderful scene of landscapes and terrace with warm and opened hearted hospitality from those innocent people are indeed heavenly pleasure.

Various sorts of packaged, short as well as long packaged can be arranged in this route. to 20/21 days package is possible in this destination with untouched traditional villages, people where very fresh organic local level food serves on the whole way in reasonable price. Tea house, Camping, Home stay is available here where mostly you will get great opportunity to have lively experience of unique culture, traditions, festivals, dialect and the way of life of Tamang, Yholmo, Sherpa, Gurung, Newar and other people.

Moreover lots of historical places, religious places, caves, and naturally beautiful lakes are other important things for noble experience. The 9th highest altitude wetland in the world, Panch pokhari, is the source of peace, brotherhood and solace where thousands of pilgrims come on every Janai purnima from different parts of the world and lots of Jhankri (witch Doctor) is a special costume visit which is really note able. Similarly on the other hand Bhairab Kund is equally important for pilgrims as well as natural beauty which is also very significant part of this trek.

On the way to Panchpokhari Trek, there is very important historical place DUBKHANG (Haveli) where so called kingly Kaji rulers used to live 172 years ago and which is noticeable through the ancient art of the building and infrastructure. And most of the history can be revealed through the attached calligraphy. It is said that the Kaji Family was linked with Rana rulers to rule the local people of this place.

Despite having potentialities for the development of Tourism Industry, this area is yet to bring into national and international market so that poor and backward people can get benefits. Realizing this facts, Gantabya, The Destination in collaboration with CCI Nepal is organizing "Panchpokharima Panch Din " to explore and promote the internal tourism.

Panch Pokhari trekking is spectacular and spiritual trekking initiates from Chautara (1400m) and goes up to Panch Pokhari and ends at Melanchi Pool Bazaar, a seldom-visited pilgrimage site, where an interesting festival called Janipurnima is observed every year in August and this happens to be an opportunity for foreigners to witness cultural medley of Hinduism and Buddhism. Yet another attraction of the Panch Pokhari trekking route is Reincarnated Monks (Avatari Lama) dwelling in Monastery called Chhagumn. Trekkers in quest of an innovative taste, twist and wilderness can opt for walking through a remote area in Helambu, along a small Tamang village making themselves fortunate to witness a glimpse of a part of Tibet too.

Season:
The most suitable time to trek is from March to May & September to October, these months are best time to visit as a weather condition. In the morning there will be foggy & cloudy weather but it will be cleared with in a day. You can travel there on November & February. June to August is raining season but it is possible to travel. As the weather conditions would not be safe enough to travel on Rainy season & cold season, but people will travel. Likewise the main attraction of this place is that in the Janai purnima there would be a mela and many people travel at this time.

Clothing:
Days are relatively warm; especially when there is no wind in the late morning. The appropriate clothing as per the travel period (temperature) and a good walking shoes for rocky and uneven paths are highly recommended. Walking stick would help for those who need support.
We suggest you to take normal warm clothes. Light warm jacket, woolen sweater, warm T-Shirts, comfortable shoes, trousers and cotton pants are enough for this trip. We recommended you to bring down jacket for the winter

Manichud Visit at Janai Purnima!!

Manichud Visit (A Hiki-ducation)

USSHA Foundation in collaboration with Youth Managed Resource Center(YMRC), Sankhu is organizing a one day ‘Manichud visit' program on Shrawan 21, 2066 on the occasion of Janai Purnima as a continuous program to promote this historical, cultural, environmental location for tourism development. Focus for visit is to hike to Manichud daha which is a holy place popular for Shrawan Sukla Purnima (Janai Purnima). It is situated in Shivapuri National Park, inside the dense forest and at the top of the Manichud Mountain. It is 7 Km from Sankhu and 2000 Meters altitude from sea level.

In the visit

· Visit historical and cultural places (Bajra Yogini temple, Manichud Daha, etc.)

· Hiking from Sankhu to manichud Daha for 2.30 hours

· Community visit

· Games and entertainment

· Informative informal interaction about historical, cultural, environmental, social and developmental situation of Sankhu area.

Expected participants: The expected participants are 30 youth from different background.

Program Date: August 05, 2009 (Shrawan 21, 2066)

Moonsoon Hiking Program, 3rd April 2009
Woof! After the highest temperature in Kathmandu till date, WOW Just Monsoon had started. A very Appropriate time to be to close with nature, Why not left the daily work aside for a single day and wheeled to Lek not the Pokhara but near to Kathmandu. A 3hrs walk to Kotdada (Ever First Paragliding spot in Kathmandu Valley). We 25 Youth Student are sauntering on 3rd July Friday at 8:00 am From Lagankhel. Why not, you will also be the part of it and sheer the Katmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur and Sky and Nature too after a rain from the top Hill. The place where the highest rain falls in Katmandu, and also Lets take the direct cold shower and challenge the monsoon. We will enjoy all over the way with various activities not forgetting Antakshari and Various games. We will move from Lagankhel via Godamchaur, and BishankhuNarayan (one Narayan in Ktm out of four) and also enjoy Cave there.
Let’s get ready! Nothing to do! Only make your Seat Confirmation sure before 2nd July, Thursday.

Moreover we are flying Fourteen Balloon to all over Fourteen Zone of Nepal from the top of the Hill against the Culture of Bandha, writing message on it.
